Introducing examples of machining when removing a broken spiral tap!
The "ITRD" is a tool designed for the quick removal of broken taps. Here, we present a machining example using a spiral tap. When a tap is twisted, the tap's land is wrapped around the internal thread, making it difficult to move even during removal, and it is less likely for fragments of the tap to come out during the process. 【Machining Conditions】 ■ Tap Size: SP M12X1.75 ■ Work Material: S50C ■ Tool Used: ITRD Dc8.5 ■ Rotational Speed: 450 min-1 ■ Feed Rate: 3 mm/min (Step 0.3 mm) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
Introducing examples of processing for hand taps and point taps!
"ITRD" is a tool for quickly removing broken taps. We will introduce processing examples for hand taps and point taps. With straight groove taps, as the machining depth increases, the tap's land tends to deflect more easily, leading to the generation of tap fragments. Therefore, if you hear unusual noises during the removal process and fragments occur, stop the machining and carefully remove the fragments using a scribing needle or similar tool. 【Processing Conditions】 ■ Tap Size: HT M12X1.5 ■ Work Material: SCM440 ■ Rotational Speed: 459 min-1 ■ Feed Rate: 3 mm/min (step 0.3 mm) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
A replaceable claw-type removal tool that easily extracts broken taps without damaging the thread.
The "New Pull Tap" is a tool designed to extract a broken tap without damaging the threads when the tap breaks off midway. Even if the claws are damaged, they can be used repeatedly until they are shortened, and they can be easily replaced with replacement claws (sold separately), making it very economical. 【Instructions for Use】 ■ Set the claws to an appropriate length and insert them into the groove of the broken tap. ■ Press down the holder and ring to closely fit against the broken tap to secure the claws. ■ Gently turn left and right with a tap wrench or similar tool to loosen the broken tap, then turn in the reverse thread direction to extract it. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
